The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, College of Education, Health & Human Sciences (CEHHS) was recently ranked among the top 50 best graduate schools among public universities, according to the 2022 U.S. News and World Report graduate school rankings report. CEHHS earned the 45th spot in the esteemed list, jumping up two from last year’s 47th position.
“The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences graduates professionals who work to improve lives of all people, including our most vulnerable,” says Dean Ellen McIntyre. “With deep partnerships with community agencies, schools, and businesses, the work we do makes a direct impact on our community. We are thrilled to see that work pay off in our recognition, external funding, rankings, and especially in the stories told by our students and our community partners.”
The David T. Bailey Graduate School of Education (GSE), housed within CEHHS, was also recognized in this report. GSE took the 59th spot, an improvement from last year’s ranking of 63. GSE is the highest ranking public graduate school of education in the state of Tennessee and the only public graduate school of education in the state ranked in the top 100. Other improvements this year include higher peer evaluations and assessments of our programs (up 4% from last year) and increased external funding (up $6.6 million from last year).
