Out graduate students recently hosted more than fifty graduate students from four southeastern universities (Auburn, UNC-Greensboro, Virginia Tech, University of Georgia) for the thirty-eighth Quint State Conference). Quint State is a consortium hosted each year through a rotation across the participating institutions. Dean Bob Rider opened the conference with a warm welcome at the Black Cultural Center. The conference theme, Development in Context, was explored through numerous presentations by CFS faculty and graduate students, poster sessions representing student research from each university, and opportunities for student discussions related to mutual research endeavors. Guest graduate students were housed in faculty and student homes as part of this long-held partnership of building potential scholarly relationships and collaborations across institutions.
